The Whirlpool 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner and the optional Portable AC model with Heat provide customers with two options for home comfort. These single-hose models feature cooling, dry, fan-only operating modes, intuitive electronic controls, and a remote control.

  • Cooling Mode: This portable AC's 14,000 BTUs of cooling power handles large rooms up to 700 square feet.

  • Dry Mode: This mode removes up to 4.5 pints of excess moisture per hour, so humid days are no match for these Whirlpool units. An optional drain hose (not included) can be connected for continuous draining when using this mode.

  • Fan Only Mode: On more moderate days, you can still enjoy refreshing air circulation by selecting this mode. Use for low, medium, or high fan speed, depending on your need.

  • Optional Heating Model: If you live where supplemental heat is occasionally needed, the Whirlpool portable AC with heat supplies 10,000 BTUs of electric heat.

Temperature and Airflow Control

You can select the cooling operating temperature from 61 to 89 degrees F using the soft touch electronic control panel, which digitally displays the current room temperature. The portable air conditioner with heating can be set from 61 to 77 degrees F for the heat mode. 

Select from three fan speeds to control the amount of airflow around your space, whether cooling or heating. You can also activate the auto-swing button, which causes the internal louvers to swing back and forth for the most even airflow distribution.

Convenient to Use

Both of these portable AC models have many convenience features that make them simple to use.

  • Timer: A 24-hour programmable timer lets you pre-set on and off times to suit your schedule. While running, program the unit to turn off in a specified number of hours. When the unit is off, you can program it to turn on automatically in the same way.
