Hunter PermaLife 30547 Air Purifier

The Hunter PermaLife 547 air purifier is designed to efficiently clean the air in a large room with ease. It achieves excellent particle filtration and good smoke and odor control, all powered by a whisper-quiet, quality Hunter fan. This unit contains a three-step air cleaning process and many user-friendly features that make operation a snap.

1. Carbon Pre-Filter -- The activated carbon pre-filter absorbs odors, resulting in 30% better odor removal than similar-type units. Large particles of air pollution (such as pet hair and dander) are also collected here. The carbon filter is replaceable, and should be changed after 1400 hours of usage (approximately 3 months). A convenient Filter Run-Time Counter will track your usage for you and then the Pre-Filter Indicator Light will flash when it is time to change the filter.

2. PermaLife Filter -- This filter is completely cleanable and reusable and collects up to 99.5% of all of the smaller pollen, dust, and other particles (to 0.5 microns). The filter is easy to clean - simply vacuum with a vacuum cleaner upholstery brush attachment. It should be cleaned after 2800 hours of use (approximately 4-6 months). The Filter Run-Time Counter will track usage and trigger the Indicator Light when it is time to clean the filter.

3. Ionizer -- As a final step for improving your air quality, the Hunter 547 contains an ionizer, which creates and infuses the air with negative ions. Negative ions are found abundantly in nature and will help to enhance air cleaning and freshen the air. There are no harmful byproducts to this process (no ozone), but you may choose to disable the ionizer, if you wish.

There are a variety of high-quality operating features also included in this air purifier. For starters, you can control energy costs by using the programming option available in Auto Mode. Here you can create an operation program completely tailored to fit your schedule, running as many as four program points per day. For example, you may set the unit to turn on Medium speed at 8:00 AM, turn to High at 3:00 PM, back to Medium at 5:00 PM, and then switch to Low at 10:00 PM. Week days and weekend days can even be programmed independently. Filter change indicators, remote control, and easy to read digital display are also included.
